Rep. White Highlights Ohio Statehouse Transportation Grant Program

COLUMBUS – State Representative Andrea White (R-Kettering) today announced that the application for the Ohio Statehouse Transportation Grant will be open September 4 until September 13 at 11:59 p.m. 

“These grants provide a wonderful opportunity for students to get a firsthand look at the State Legislature in action,” said Rep. White. “This program supports our schools by making it possible for more students to learn about the history and government of Ohio by experiencing the Statehouse in-person.”

The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) will award 180 grants to schools across Ohio, helping cover the cost of school bus transportation to the Ohio Statehouse and its museum. Grants will be awarded evenly among three categories based on one-way travel from the applicant's school to the Ohio Statehouse:  

• 0 to 50 miles (60 grants)
• 51 to 100 miles (60 grants)
• 101+ miles (60 grants)
   

Only schools that receive state funding are eligible to apply.
