Issue 1 Poll Proves Overwhelming, Bipartisan Support to Vote "NO" on August Special Election for Special Interests

Richard Dell'Aquila News

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Richard Dell’Aquila (D-Seven Hills) today says the new USA TODAY Network/Suffolk University poll that shows 57% of likely Ohio voters are against Issue 1 proves there is overwhelming, bipartisan support to defeat this undemocratic attack by extremists and special interest to make it harder to amend the Ohio constitution.

“I voted in person at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, where the turnout was stronger than expected for an August special election. This poll is encouraging, but it is also important not to take anything for granted in this critical election. There is still a long time to go before August 8th, and we should encourage our friends and family to vote and make all of our voices heard so that all of our rights are protected.” said Rep. Dell’Aquila.

Along with extremely strong Democratic support, the USA TODAY Network/Suffolk University poll of 500 likely Ohio voters found that, “41% of Republicans, 60% of independents and 41% of Ohioans who voted for President Donald Trump in 2020 said they're also against it.”

House Dems are united on voting “NO” on the unpopular, unfair, & undemocratic Issue 1 which would end majority rule in Ohio. Get more info on making a plan to vote “NO” to protect our freedoms here
