COLUMBUS – State Rep. Elliot Forhan (D-South Euclid) today expressed sorrow and condolences for the family of 16-year-old Keshaun Lamar, who was fatally shot on Sunday morning.
“My heart breaks for the Lamar family,” said Rep. Forhan. “The loss of Keshaun’s life is indescribable. We must enact and enforce immediately in Ohio common-sense gun laws, laws that keep guns out of the wrong hands. The last thing that Ohio needs is to make guns more accessible, like House Bill 198 would do, by exempting firearms from sales tax. We know how to prevent senseless killings like Keshaun’s. We must act now.”
According to News 5 Cleveland, “Police said a juvenile suspect is currently in custody at the Cuyahoga County Detention Center.”
