Rep. Weinstein announces funding for Stow Armory
State Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) today announced the release of $74,369 in state funding to the Stow Armory. The funding was approved last month by the state Controlling Board, a panel tasked with oversight of state spending.
“As a veteran, I strive to go above and beyond in fulfilling the obligation we in the legislature have to our service members,” said Rep. Weinstein. “It is a great day in Columbus when I get to deliver not only for the people of Ohio’s 37th district, but also for our men and women in uniform.”
The $74,369 allocated for the project will go toward the replacement of geotechnical reports, surveying, pavement testing and inspections, permits, fence repair and replacement and the relocation of a light pole to meet security standards. Funding for the project will be split between the state and federal government with prior approval by the Ohio Adjutant General, who is responsible for overseeing the training and operations of the Ohio Army National Guard.
