Cutrona Adds Amendment Honoring Don Manning, Passes House
Today, House Bill 616 passed unanimously out of the Ohio House, which included a designation of a road to honor the late State Rep. Don Manning. Manning passed away while in office back in March.
Newly-inducted State Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) offered the amendment on the floor today in memory of his predecessor.
“The late Don Manning was taken so unexpectedly,” said Cutrona. “Don had managed to accomplish so much in such a small period of time. He had managed to bring his voice, the voice of the Valley, down here in Columbus and that is something in the 59th district they were very much appreciative of.”
The legislation also designates a portion of Interstate Route 275 in Hamilton County as the “Officer Kaia L. Grant Memorial Highway.” Additional designations include the “Lake Township Veterans Memorial Highway” and “Sergeant Frederick A. Raby Highway.”
House Bill 616 now awaits further consideration by the Senate.
