Bill to Designate James A. Garfield Day Unanimously Passes Ohio Senate

COLUMBUS—House Bill 61, which will designate November 19th as “James A. Garfield Day” in Ohio, yesterday passed the Ohio Senate 31-0. Bill sponsors, State Reps. Callender (R-Concord) and Troy (D-Willowick), were pleased to see unanimous passage in both the Ohio House and Senate.

Lake County Schools Show Success in State Report Card

COLUMBUS – Lake County School Districts continue to show improvement in the 2022-2023 school year state report card, announced State Representative Jamie Callender (R-Concord). This includes the Kirtland and Perry School Districts achieving a 5-star rating, the highest overall rating that can be achieved by a district, which places them in the top 12% of schools in Ohio.
