Ohio House Assistant Minority Leader Rep. Kristin Boggs (D-Columbus) issued a statement Tuesday welcoming President Joe Biden to her district in Columbus. President Biden will visit The Ohio State University’s James Cancer Center to mark the 11th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act and to tout the recently-passed American Rescue Plan, which will benefit working people, small businesses and Ohio communities amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“It’s an honor to welcome President Biden to Columbus. His strong leadership through his first two months at the White House is already making a difference in the lives of working Americans, and his administration’s swift action to take on the virus is saving lives here in Ohio and across the country,” said Rep. Boggs. “The President’s visit today highlights his commitment to the Buckeye State and Democrats’ ongoing fight to ensure better lives and brighter futures for all. The President’s message is simple: that we’re working for you every day to protect and expand health care access and grow opportunity for working people and middle class families in Ohio and around the nation.”
