Rep. West announces local recipients of the BroadbandOhio Connectivity Grant program

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Thomas West (D-Canton) today announced the local recipients of the BroadbandOhio Connectivity Grant program. Awards from the Governor’s office were given to the following area schools:

  • $155,416 to Canton City School District
  • $75,127 to Canton College Preparatory School
  • $27,263 to Canton Local School District
  • $3,960 to Heritage Christian School of Canton
  • $121,172 to Massillon City School District
  • $134,342 to Perry Local School District
  • $27,263 to Plain Local School District
  • $151,466 to Sandy Valley Local School District
  • $50,883 to Stark High School

“I applaud the Governor’s office for making this grant funding available,” said Rep. West. “No child should face barriers to success because of lack of broadband access. These grants will help our schools make strides toward eliminating these barriers and ensuring that every student can have access to the same education.”
