COLUMBUS – Today, State Rep. Tavia Galonski (D-Akron) released the following statement after the House voted to establish its rules for the 135th General Assembly:
“As elected officials, it is our job to put the people in our communities first,” said Rep. Galonski. “I value working with people for Ohio families, even when I disagree with a fellow legislator. Today, I was proud to vote in support of the House rules, which allow us to finally get to work on behalf of our constituents.”
The House rules govern how the legislative chamber operates for the next two years of the General Assembly. Now that rules have been established, the House can begin committee hearings and floor votes on legislation.
