COLUMBUS – State Rep. Tavia Galonski (D-Akron) today applauds the announcement of 27 new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to be built along seven of Ohio’s interstate corridors thanks largely to $18 million dollars of federal funding from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program.
“My constituents have been asking about electric charging stations and today I am happy to report that Ohio is making strides in the correct direction,” said Rep. Galonski.
Ohio will now be a national leader in developing charging stations for public use. Ohio is the first state in the nation to develop charging stations that will be funded by President Joe Biden’s NEVI Program.
Electric vehicles will help us meet ambitious climate goals, while providing good-paying jobs and economic stimulus to the state.
