COLUMBUS – State Rep. Tavia Galonski (D-Akron) announced the State Controlling Board approved over $3.8 million to the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services to continue supporting operations for unemployment benefits. Over $800,000 will be used to help combat unemployment fraud while over $2.9 million will be used to support UFacts unemployment application process. This process was initially established to implement the federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program.

“I am pleased that the Controlling Board has approved this crucial funding for our state’s unemployment operations,” said Rep.
