ICYMI: Rep. Galonski hosts Ohio Promise: Opportunity Agenda Town Hall in Barberton
Rep. Tavia Galonski (D-Akron) hosted a stop on the Ohio House Democrats’ Ohio Promise: Opportunity Agenda Tour on Wednesday, August 4 in Barberton. The event was part of a statewide series of town halls where local lawmakers discuss statewide issues like jobs and economic development, education, protecting healthcare access, and the freedom to vote. Rep. Galonski’s event also gave citizens the opportunity to ask questions and offer input on ways to address the issues facing their communities.
“I love to call Ohio’s 35th District the ‘Fighting 35th’ because we’re always prepared to do what we need to do to help our neighbors and our friends live the Ohio Promise,” said Rep. Galonski.
Rep. Galonski discussed the Democrats’ Opportunity Agenda to grow good paying jobs, strengthen small businesses, and protect the health and safety of all Ohioans. The town hall also highlighted the redistricting process, which will begin this Friday, August 6 with the first meeting of Ohio’s redistricting commission.
