COLUMBUS— State Reps. Erica C. Crawley (D-Columbus), Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) and Don Jones (R-Freeport) will host a listening session on Monday, January 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at South High School to discuss the state’s third grade reading guarantee.
The session will focus on how parents and caretakers of children feel about the test, its effectiveness and whether changes need to be made to the test.
“We want to provide this opportunity for our neighbors to share their thoughts on the test to ensure that students have the best opportunity for success,” said Rep. Crawley.
“Lawmakers will be in attendance to hear your input on how the high-stakes testing is affecting our children,” said Rep. Hicks-Hudson.
The event is free and open to the public.
