State Rep. Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) today applauded the Ohio House passage of House Bill (HB) 2, a long-held Democratic priority that would create the Ohio Residential Broadband Expansion Program, specifically designed to bring broadband access to unserved residential households in both rural and urban areas of the state.

“Passage of this bill is part of our promise to expand broadband access to Ohioans. We must work to ensure that Wi-Fi access is just as easy as electricity and other utilities.,” said Rep. Hicks-Hudson.

HB 2 now moves to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.
