COLUMBUS– State Rep. Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) today announced the start of early voting in Lucas County. The announcement comes as thousands of Ohioans converged on their county board of elections early on Tuesday morning to cast a ballot on the first day of early voting.
“I am very encouraged by early voting lines, we must keep this momentum up going into Election Day! Voting is important this year, be the first of your family and friends to make your voice heard” said Rep. Hicks-Hudson.
The announcement of early voting commencing also accompanies the beginning of the absentee voting period, during which a record number of absentee ballots will be mailed out, as Ohioans exercise their right to vote safely from their homes. Those ballots will be sent to Ohioans who applied for them in the coming days.
