State Rep. Michael Sheehy (D-Oregon) today announced that Maumee Bay State Park in Oregon, Ohio will be one of several parks around the state to see significant improvements following the Ohio Controlling Board’s Monday decision to release $1.6 million in state funds to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for campground area renovations.

Rep. Sheehy celebrated the decision, saying: “I am thrilled to see increasing interest and investment in Maumee Bay State Park: the crown jewel of House District 46. It is truly a blessing that the state holds our naturally stunning region in such high regard. With new full-service hookups and renovated washroom facilities, we can invite even more visitors to enjoy world-class fishing and birdwatching.”
