Rep. Sheehy statement on Biden inauguration, Democrats taking control of Congress

State Rep. Michael Sheehy (D-Oregon) issued a statement on Wednesday’s inauguration of Joe Biden as President and Kamala Harris as Vice President of the United States, cementing Democratic control of the White House and both chambers of Congress.

“As President John F. Kennedy said, ‘We observe today not a victory of party but a celebration of freedom – symbolizing an end as well as a beginning – signifying renewal as well as change.’ As we turn the page to a new presidency and a new Congress, let us all appreciate the strength of the United States’ democracy, its institutions, and our commitment to a peaceful transfer of power. Today, I renew my promise to the people of the 46th Ohio House District to continue working for them and on the issues they care about.”
