Rep. Sheehy announces start of early voting in Lucas County
COLUMBUS– State Rep. Michael Sheehy (D-Oregon) today announced the start of early voting in Lucas County. The announcement comes as thousands of Ohioans converged on their county board of elections early on Tuesday morning to cast a ballot on the first day of early voting.
“This morning, voters across Ohio began to cast their vote for the 2020 general election,” said Rep. Sheehy. “Voting in Ohio has become easier, as residents have several options to cast their vote. Whether you plan to vote by mail, early in-person, or at the polls on Election Day, I encourage everyone to create a plan to vote and make your voice heard.”
The announcement of early voting commencing also accompanies the beginning of the absentee voting period, during which a record number of absentee ballots will be mailed out, as Ohioans exercise their right to vote safely from their homes. Those ballots will be sent to Ohioans who applied for them in the coming days.
