Last week, I was planning to introduce legislation to provide independent contractors, sole proprietors and partnerships a means to attain unemployment benefits for the time period they are unable to work due to Governor DeWine’s order to close their business. This legislation would have supported the self-employed through a grant from the General Revenue Fund.
