COLUMBUS – State Representative Mark Fraizer (R-Newark) today issued the following statement after the House Ways and Means Committee heard testimony from several constituents regarding House Bill 614:
“Today’s Ways and Means Committee was extremely productive as we heard from individuals with issues, companies with technological solutions and a substitute bill to improve the state’s unemployment compensation system moving forward. House Bill 614 will help Ohioans who are continuing to battle the system and have not received the voice they need to resolve their issues.
I want to thank Rep. Richardson for her partnership as we offered this substitute bill for House Bill 614 that will serve Ohioans in the future. We look forward to the continued partnership with House members and look forward to working with the Senate and executive branch to resolve the current problems with Ohio’s unemployment compensation system to ensure these issues will never happen again in the future.”
