COLUMBUS—The Licking County Chamber of Commerce will be partnering with the Facebook New Albany Data Center in order to provide small businesses economic relief, announced State Representative Mark Fraizer (R-Newark).

The two will be working together to support small businesses as they navigate the current economic climate due to COVID-19.

The Licking County Chamber of Commerce announced last week that Facebook has provided the Chamber with a $100,000 grant. This funding will be allocated as grants to local small businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

“I am pleased to see this partnership,” said Fraizer. “Licking County is home to many small businesses that are a valuable part of our community. I want them to be supported in any way they can throughout these unprecedented times.”

According to the chamber, the guidelines for the community grants are as follows:

  • Grants will be available to small business Chamber members in good standing located in Licking County.
  • Small businesses are defined as those with 1-50 employees.

Small businesses are able to begin applying for the grants today, Monday, May 18. The application period will be open until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020. Online applications are available on the Licking County Chamber of Commerce website https://lickingcountychamber.com/covid19-resources/. Grant recipients will be announced on Monday, June 15, 2020.
