State Rep. Kristin Boggs (D-Columbus) today applauded the Ohio House passage of House Bill (HB) 2, a long-held Democratic priority that would create the Ohio Residential Broadband Expansion Program, specifically designed to bring broadband access to unserved residential households in both rural and urban areas of the state.
“Access to internet should not be a luxury limited to only certain areas of Ohio. This pandemic has crystalized the important role internet plays in Ohioans being able to work, learn, and have access to healthcare. I am proud to support this important legislation to help all Ohioans have the ability to get online,” said Rep. Boggs.
HB 2 now moves to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.
