COLUMBUS – State Rep. Jeff Crossman (D-Parma) today commented on the recent House passage of the Capital Budget, House Bill (HB) 687, which includes $75,000 in funding to the Village of Cuyahoga Heights.

“We are delighted to be able to deliver these funds to Cuyahoga Heights,” said Rep. Crossman. “As their state representative over the past several years, I know how hard the community has worked to obtain the needed funding to complete the trail work and continue building recreational opportunities for residents. I was happy to be a part of the advocacy effort.”

The funding will go towards the village’s Willowbrook Connector Project and provide both residents and students with direct access to Bacci Park and Trail, while eliminating the need to drive to the park or take more hazardous road routes.

“On behalf of the Village of Cuyahoga Heights, we would like to thank State Representative Jeffrey Crossman, Senators Nickie Antonio and Matt Dolan, and any others. We are truly humbled, once again, by the support that our small community continues to receive at the highest level of our state government. God Bless!” said Cuyahoga Heights Mayor Jack Bacci.

“I am happy to have advocated for these important projects that mean so much to our communities in Senate District 23,” said Senator Antonio. “These state dollars will go a long way towards increasing the access and quality of outdoor recreational activities to ensure they can be enjoyed by all residents.”
