State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) announces that she will be hosting an Open Office Hours event in Kent. The event will allow the representative to hear from constituents to discuss questions, issues, and concerns. This is Pavliga’s fourth outreach event for constituents held within the 75th House District.

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) announces that funding for campus safety grants was recently approved for several colleges throughout the state, including for Kent State University (KSU). The program funding was approved through legislation during the previous General Assembly.

Today, State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) visited Kent State University to kick-off the first day of classes for the Addictions Counseling Certificate Experiential Paraprofessional Training (ACCEPT) Program, which provides for a paid internship and partial tuition coverage for students to obtain a license pertaining to chemical dependency. Pavliga is hoping for expansion of the program.

Dr. Pavliga has been working hard to improve these programs via legislation to ensure the protection of children. Judge Smith and her staff have worked diligently with Doug Stephens from Ohio CASA to bring CASA to Portage County. Walden is set to begin next month.
