COLUMBUS – The State Controlling Board has approved the release of $500,000 to support the construction of the Wellington Findley Connector Trail, Representatives Dick Stein (R-Norwalk) and Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) announced today.

The Wellington Connector will construct 1.7 miles of a paved, multi-purpose trail to link the Upper Reservoir trailhead to Griggs Road, located near Findley State Park.

“I am looking forward to this addition to the Connector Trail,” said Representative Manning.

“This trail will diversify the outdoor recreational activities our parks have to offer,” said Representative Stein.

The total project cost is $1,280,000.

Clean Ohio Trails Fund assistance will fund the design, engineering, and construction phases of this project, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).

The project is one of 20 across the state to receive approval in this round of funding.
