Following the passage of House Bill 128 on the floor of the Ohio House of Representatives, Rep. David Leland (D-Columbus), who has been leading the fight against House Bill 6 for nearly two years, issued this statement:
“House Bill 128 is not a repeal of HB 6. It is, at best, the bare minimum.
It leaves intact the $444 million bailout of two dirty coal-generating plants – one located in Indiana. It also does nothing to restart our green energy economy – an economy responsible for over 100,000 jobs, saving consumers billions of dollars, and keeping 10 million tons of carbon from entering our atmosphere.
This must not be the last word on House Bill 6.”
