Rep. Brigid Kelly (D-Cincinnati), Rep. Catherine Ingram (D-Cincinnati), Rep. Sedrick Denson (D-Cincinnati), and Rep. Jessica Miranda (D-Forest Park) hosted a stop on the Ohio House Democrats’ Ohio Promise: Opportunity Agenda Tour last week in Cincinnati. The event was part of a statewide series of town halls where local lawmakers discuss statewide issues like jobs and economic development, education, protecting healthcare access, and the freedom to vote. The event also gave citizens the opportunity to ask questions and offer input on ways to address the issues facing their communities.

“These town halls are an important way to bring what’s happening at the Statehouse home to our communities,” said Rep. Kelly. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to share on relevant issues and to get feedback and questions from those we serve.”

“As I work for the constituents of House District 32, it is crucial that we get into our community and disseminate information and hear from those we serve,” said Rep. Ingram. “I hope to see many of our attendees at the upcoming Ohio Redistricting Regional meeting taking place next week in Cincinnati, August 24.”

“Connecting with the people we serve is one of the most important parts of this job,” said Rep. Denson. “I am always grateful for the opportunity to update our communities on important issues and hear what is on the hearts and minds of our constituents. Thank you for engaging with us!”

“Thank you to everyone who came out and engaged with their state lawmakers on a range of pressing topics at our town hall,” said Rep. Miranda. “In order to best serve our constituents, it’s important to hear your concerns at events like these.”

The Representatives, alongside Senator Cecil Thomas (D-Cincinnati), discussed the Democrats’ Opportunity Agenda to grow good paying jobs, strengthen small businesses, and protect the health and safety of all Ohioans. The town hall also highlighted redistricting plans, census results, and the state budget.
