State Rep. Brigid Kelly (D-Cincinnati) released the following statement today on her committee assignments for the 134th General Assembly:
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve on these committees for the 134th General Assembly,” said Rep. Kelly. “These committee assignments will allow me to address issues that truly matter by ensuring that the voices of Ohioans most impacted are heard and understood.”
Rep. Kelly will serve on the following committees:
· Ranking Member on State & Local Government Committee
· Finance Committee
· Finance Subcommittee on Transportation
· Government Oversight Committee
Committee meetings are crucial to the formation of laws. All bills must have at least two hearings in committee to allow opponents and proponents to present testimony and voice opinions on potential changes to bills before they are considered by the full House.
Committees are open to the public and held any time before or after House floor sessions. The public can watch committees live by going to www.ohiohouse.gov or www.ohiochannel.org.
