COLUMBUS – State Representative Brian Baldridge (R-Winchester) today encouraged Ohio families to save on back-to-school supplies during Ohio’s annual sales tax holiday this weekend, August 7-9.
“Back-to-school shopping expenses can quickly add up, especially during these tough economic times,” said Baldridge. “The tax holiday helps ease this financial burden for Ohio families and ensures our students have the supplies needed to succeed in the classroom. This is a great opportunity to support our local businesses in our communities.”
Through Friday, August 7th to Sunday, August 9th, all shoes and clothing priced under $75 will be exempt from state and local sales and use taxes. School supplies and instructional materials priced at $20 or less will also be tax exempt.
