COLUMBUS — The Ohio House of Representatives today passed legislation sponsored by State Representatives Brett Hillyer (R-Uhrichsville) and Tavia Galonski (D-Akron) that changes the law regarding involuntary treatment of mentally ill persons subject to a court order.

COLUMBUS – Governor DeWine has signed a measure to provide a $500 million grant program to help revitalize the Appalachian region of Ohio.

COLUMBUS – State Representative Brett Hillyer (R-Uhrichsville) today announced House Bill 578 passed the Ohio House. This Legislation will name a portion of US Route 36 in Tuscarawas County the “Robert E. Turney Memorial Highway” and will name the overpass on Johnson Drive spanning U.S. Route 250, in Uhrichsville the “Specialist Ronald Gene Johnson Memorial Highway.”

COLUMBUS – State Representative Brett Hillyer (R-Uhrichsville) announced today that the Clean Ohio Trail Fund will commit $500,000 to build a 1.6-mile trail connecting Kent State University on the southern side of New Philadelphia with the downtown area.
