Cutrona Supports Nearly $7 Million for Economic and Housing Opportunities for Mahoning County

State Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) supports $6.86 million in funding coming to Mahoning County through the Ohio Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program. Mahoning County has received the funding for 596 various projects.

The program is funded through the state operating budget passed last year with Cutrona’s support in the Ohio House and will fund the demolition of commercial and residential buildings that are in need of repairs or restructuring. 

“We’re looking to invest and revitalize many parts of the Mahoning Valley, creating jobs and boosting our economic opportunities across the region,” Cutrona said. “I’m proud to have supported this initiative and look forward to the development of these projects.”

Under the state operating budget bill, it allocated a total of approximately $150 million in grants to be dispersed for the program.
