Cutrona Encourages Local Outreach for Upcoming State Budget Process

State Rep. Al Cutrona (R-Canfield) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) as Chair of the House Health Provider Services Committee and as a member of other committees, including critical Finance committees undertaking the state budget process.

“I’m excited to get to work for the people of the Valley,” said Cutrona. “I have meetings starting today with local officials to discuss the needs of our region. I plan on meeting with all local mayors, trustees, business leaders, and stakeholders in the coming weeks.”

Along with being Chair of the House Health Provider Services Committee, Cutrona will be serving on the following committees:

• Finance
• Finance Subcommittee on Transportation
• Commerce and Labor
• Civil Justice

Cutrona notes his two finance committee roles will be pivotal in representing Mahoning Valley.

“I encourage constituents to reach out to me or my office over the course of the next few months as we proceed in holding hearings regarding the various budgets,” Cutrona added. “I want constituent feedback and input as we work together to improve the lives of Ohio families in the Valley and across the state.”

The Finance Committee’s first meetings are on February 7 and 8 at 9:00 a.m. and the Finance Subcommittee on Transportation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8 at 3:00 p.m. Committee hearings can be streamed at www.ohiochannel.org.
