LEGISLATIVE MATTERS | Cutrona pushes for legislation honoring the late Don Manning
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Al Cutrona of Canfield, R-59th, recently gave testimony on legislation to honor and commemorate the late state Rep. Don Manning for his work at the Statehouse.
Earlier this month, Cutrona introduced House Bill 191, which would designate a bridge on state Route 164 in Mahoning County as the Don Manning Memorial Bridge. Last week, Cutrona spoke to the bill during a House Transportation and Public Safety Committee hearing.
“All of you who knew Don know that he was extremely dedicated to his work as a legislator and had a passion for serving the people of Ohio,” Cutrona said. “He was never afraid to speak his mind, but he was also willing and able to work with those he disagreed with to come to common ground. This bridge naming is a small token to say thank you to a man who put everything into his work.”

Manning served as the 59th Ohio House District representative under the 133rd General Assembly until his death March 20, 2020. He previously served as a member of the United States Navy.
