Rep. Miller named Vice Chair of Correctional Institution Inspection Committee

State Rep. Adam Miller (D-Columbus) today was named Vice Chair of the Correctional Institution Inspection Committee (CIIC).

“I am honored to serve as Vice-Chair of the CIIC and look forward to working with Chair Manning as we hold our prison system accountable while ensuring the vitality of its critical rehabilitation mission,” said Rep. Miller.  “Our corrections system needs to serve all – from victims, to employees, to those under its supervision.  The CIIC works to ensure that our government works for Ohio’s Promise of living with safety and security. ”

The CIIC is a legislative bipartisan, bicameral committee charged with inspecting the state correctional facilities and serves as a resource to the legislators.  CIIC collaborates with many criminal justice partners to ensure transparency and to be a responsible agency in providing information for the General Assembly.
