COLUMBUS—State Rep. Adam Miller (D-Columbus) today announced that Senate Bill (SB) 163, legislation creating the Folds of Honor license plate, was signed into law yesterday by Gov. DeWine.  SB 163 includes House Bill (HB) 262 which was authored by Reps. Miller and Tracey Richardson (R-Marysville) and passed the Ohio House on June 19, 2019 by a vote of 97-0.

“Folds of Honor helps the warriors behind the warriors – the families and dependents – of our active duty service members and veterans” said Miller.  Too often we forget the families who suffer when providing for a wounded veteran.  This license plate is a small step in raising awareness and providing funding for Folds of Honor as it gives love and support to their service member and veteran family members.   Investing in children of disabled veterans is investing in Ohio and investing in our future.   We are doing that today with this legislation.”

Folds of Honor is a non-profit organization that provides additional educational support to families of America’s fallen and disabled service members.

The provision was included in SB 163 as an omnibus amendment with several other license plate creation proposals.
