COLUMBUS - 

State Representative Wes Retherford (R-Hamilton ) yesterday was sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 131st General Assembly. He represents the 51st Ohio House District which includes portions of Butler County, including the cities of Hamilton and Fairfield, Ross Township, and portions of Fairfield, Hanover, and St. Clair townships.


 


“I look forward to serving in the 131st General Assembly,” said Representative Retherford. “I’m ready to continue our work on job creation and continue making our state the best place to live and raise a family.”


 


Rep Retherford enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2002. Following Recruit Training in Parris Island, South Carolina and Marine Combat Training at the School of Infantry in Camp Geiger, North Carolina, he was stationed at Fort Bliss Army Air Defense Center in El Paso, Texas. He was given his discharge in 2004 after enduring injuries while training, and went on to become a mortician’s assistant at a Hamilton funeral home.


 


He resides in Hamilton with his wife, Leann, and their children, Kaitlyn and Chance.
