State Representative Wes Retherford is serving his third term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 51st House District, which encompasses portions of Butler County, including the cities of Hamilton and Fairfield, Ross Township, and portions of Fairfield, Hanover, and St. Clair townships.

03.21.18 - Rep. Retherford Announces Passage Of Law Creating Protections For Victims Of Sexual Crimes

 

COLUMBUS—State Representative Wes Retherford (R-Hamilton) today announced the passage of the Victims Privacy and Protection Act by the Ohio House of Representatives, legislation he sponsored. House Bill 451 excludes certain depictions of victims from being released in public records requests, removing the possibility of re-victimization in situations that are often already traumatizing.

As I reflect on the origin of our state and the founding of this nation, I can’t help but think about historic legislation that the General Assembly recently passed which upholds some of the values upon which our country was founded.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Wes Retherford (R-Hamilton) applauded the House’s concurrence vote this week on House Bill 79, legislation he jointly sponsored that allows tactical medical professionals, such as nurses and paramedics on regional SWAT teams, to carry firearms while on duty.
