Representative Richardson Applauds Governor DeWine's Executive Order Re-establishing DriveOhio as the Statewide Center for Smart Mobility
COLUMBUS – Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) announced her support of Governor Mike DeWine’s executive order 2019-26D, re-establishing DriveOhio as the Statewide Center for Smart Mobility.
Richardson’s district is home to the Transportation Research Center (TRC), North America’s largest independent automotive proving grounds, which is currently in the process of expanding. It is also home to the 33 Smart Mobility Corridor, a collaborative test corridor for autonomous and connected vehicles.
“Smart mobility is a major growth area for the 86th district and the entire state of Ohio, and I am grateful to see it prioritized by all levels of government,” said Richardson. “Governor DeWine’s vision for DriveOhio is precisely the strategy we need to keep Ohio at the forefront in developing this emerging technology. I look forward to working with the Governor and the DriveOhio team to ensure Ohio remains the top state in the country for smart mobility research and development.”
