A lifelong resident of Central Ohio, Representative Tim Schaffer currently is serving his fourth non-consecutive term in the House of Representatives, serving the 77th House District, which encompasses most of Fairfield County.  Representative Schaffer's tenure in public office began when he was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2000. After serving three terms he was elected to represent the 31st Ohio Senate District.

12.13.18 - Rep. Schaffer Announces Passage Of Public Indecency Legislation

 

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Senate today passed legislation unanimously that will protect Ohio’s most vulnerable population. House Bill 92, sponsored by State Representative Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster), will require perpetrators convicted of chronic or severe public indecency to register as sex offenders.

COLUMBUS – State Representative Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) provided sponsor testimony to the House Energy and Natural Resources Committee on Senate Resolution 21, which urges Congress to enact legislation, provide funding, and take further initiatives to promote the development of an Appalachian natural gas storage hub. Representative Schaffer adopted Senate Concurrent Resolution 21 after Senator Troy Balderson, the original sponsor, was elected to the United States Congress.

This Thanksgiving season has provided me the chance to stop and reflect on the past year, and as I gaze back throughout 2018, it’s exciting to see the legislative developments that have taken place in our state government.
