A lifelong resident of Cuyahoga County, Representative Tom Patton grew up as one of nine kids on the near west side of Cleveland. The son of a Cleveland police officer and the father of a Cleveland Heights police officer who tragically died in the line of duty, Representative Patton has taken up many legislative initiatives pertaining to police, firefighters, and first responders. As a member of the Ohio House Republican Caucus, we have had a busy 2017. In addition to debating and passing the state budget for fiscal years 2018 and 2019, we had multiple task forces traveling the state to learn more about Ohio’s most pressing issues and passed many bills that aligned with our policy platform, the Buckeye Pathway. Our goals for this General Assembly have been to improve the economic environment, enhance opportunities for all Ohioans, and strengthen families and communities.

COLUMBUS—Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) recently appointed State Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) to the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission (OTIC). Rep. Patton will serve as one of the non-voting members on the ten-member board.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) today announced that the Ohio Legislative Service Commission is accepting applications for its 13-month Legislative and Telecommunications Fellowship Program.
