State Rep. Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) announces Ohio’s annual sales tax holiday will be happening for consumers across the state from Aug. 7-9. The holiday marks the weekend where Ohioans will not have to pay state sales and use taxes on clothing items, school supplies and school instructional materials up to a certain price.

On Sunday, the Oscars aired and awarded Best Documentary Feature to “American Factory” – a documentary based around an Ohio factory’s reopening by a Chinese billionaire. The film benefitted from the Ohio motion picture tax credit program that began in 2009. Since 2006, Rep. Patton has been a primary sponsor and supporter of several motion picture tax credit bills.
