03.01.18 - Representative Patton Announces House Passage Of Legislation Creating Road Improvement Fund

 

COLUMBUS—State Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) today announced the Ohio House passage of legislation jointly sponsored by Reps. Dave Greenspan (R-Westlake) and Scott Ryan (R-Granville Township). Substitute House Bill 415 seeks to create the Local Government Road Improvement Fund, to which one half of state surplus revenue each fiscal year will be allocated. This will supply funds to local governments for road improvement projects.

COLUMBUS—Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) recently appointed State Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) to the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission (OTIC). Rep. Patton will serve as one of the non-voting members on the ten-member board.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) today announced that the Ohio Legislative Service Commission is accepting applications for its 13-month Legislative and Telecommunications Fellowship Program. The commission will hire 24 fellows to work with members of the Ohio General Assembly during 2018.

State Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) today applauded Governor Kasich’s signing of Senate Bill 27, legislation that creates presumptive eligibility for workers’ compensation for firefighters diagnosed with cancer. Rep. Patton sponsored the legislation during the 131st General Assembly as a member of the Ohio Senate.

State Representative Tom Patton (R-Strongsville) was sworn in yesterday as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 132nd General Assembly. He represents the 7th Ohio House District, which includes portions of Cuyahoga County. He was also elected by his peers to serve as Majority Whip.
