State Rep. Teresa Fedor (D-Toledo) has been appointed as the Ranking Minority member of the House committee on Education.  She has also been appointed as a member of the Military & Veterans’ Affairs Committee and the Policy & Legislative Oversight Committee.

"I am honored to be selected to serve as a member of this committee," said Rep. Fedor. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue my work on education, veterans’ issues, and state policy. I’m excited to strive for solutions that are in the best interests of Ohioans.  We will have a lot of work ahead of us.”

The House of Representatives has 17 standing committees. House Republicans have slightly altered the committee structure for the 130th General Assembly. The committees on Local Government and Criminal Justice were consolidated, while new committees on Manufacturing & Workforce Development and Policy & Legislative Oversight were established. Committee meetings may be held any time before or after House floor sessions, and they are open to the public.

Before her career as a legislator began, Representative Fedor worked as a teacher for 18 years, spending 15 years with the Toledo Public School system.  A long-time public servant, Representative Fedor served in the United States Air Force and Ohio Air National Guard for six and a half years. She has served the Toledo area as a legislator since 2000.
