State Rep. Tavia Galonski (D-Akron) today released a statement following the announcement that the city of Akron has been selected as the first city in the United States to be part of eBay’s Retail Revival program. The yearlong program will allow dozens of area businesses to collaborate with eBay’s platform to market their products and services to the global marketplace.

“One of Akron’s greatest strengths is its business community, and this partnership with eBay, the first of its kind in the United States, underscores the potential for further growth and innovation. This program is a game changer for local entrepreneurs looking to take their small businesses to the next level, as well as an incredible opportunity to showcase Akron to the world, spur local job growth and strengthen our economy.”

Galonski represents Ohio’s 35th district, which is comprised of parts of Akron and Barberton.
