State Representative Steve Arndt (R-Port Clinton) last week received the Elected Official Advocacy Award from the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging.

During its 28th annual conference, the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging announced the recipients of its 2017 awards, given to individuals who have worked with the organization to improve the lives of older Ohioans and those with disabilities. Rep. Arndt received the award for his dedication to aging issues as chairman of the House Aging and Long-Term Care Committee.

“I am so incredibly honored to receive this award. However, the true heroes are the individuals who work so hard on behalf of Ohio’s seniors at the Area Agencies on Aging,” said Representative Arndt. “Their compassion and advocacy on behalf of Ohio seniors inspires my work at the Statehouse.”

The Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging is a statewide network of agencies that provides services for the elderly and advocates on behalf of older Ohioans.
