COLUMBUS—State Representative Steve Arndt (R-Port Clinton) this week presented a House commendation to Dr. Errol Alexander, a 2018 inductee into the Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame.

Born in Sandusky, Dr. Alexander became active in civil rights at 14 and devoted his life to fighting for these issues. He has served as a local NAACP president and advocated for workplace diversity and equality. He remains focused on mentoring and counseling the African American community.

“It is with great pleasure that I recognize Dr. Errol Alexander for his selflessness and dedication resulting in his induction into the Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame,” said Arndt.

The 10th annual Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place today, October 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ohio Statehouse atrium.

State Representative Steve Arndt (R-Port Clinton) joined Rep. Bill Blessing (R-Colerain Township) and Senator Frank LaRose (R-Hudson) to propose changes to Senate Bill 135, which provides funding to assist counties in upgrading their outdated voting equipment.
