Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) has appointed State Representative Steve Hambley (R-Brunswick) to serve as Vice Chair of the State Government Committee, which will become effective May 1st.
“I am proud to accept my new role as Vice Chairman of the State Government Committee,” said Hambley. “This is a unique and exciting new role. I plan to put my 18 years of experience as Medina County Commissioner to use to help pass good-government bills and legislation that tackle complex issues. I look forward to working with Chairman Maag and Ranking Member Slesnick and the members of the State Government committee to accomplish these goals.”
Representative Hambley is currently serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives and previously served as a Medina County Commissioner for 18 years. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Akron and is retired from Lorain County Community College as an adjunct faculty member.
Representative Hambley continues to serve on the Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development Committee, as well as the Local Government and Ways and Means Committees. He represents the 69th House District, which includes most of Medina County.
