Today, State Representative Stephen Huffman (R-Tipp City) presented a resolution to the Troy High School girls bowling team, honoring them as the 2016 Division I State Champions.

“I think that it was great that this team came together in the state finals to finish off a great season,” said Rep. Huffman.  “They are a great example of teamwork and everybody working together.”
The Troy Trojans defeated the Beavercreek High School Beavers 3-1 in the state championship bowling match at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl. Trojans bowler, Jenna Stone, rolled three strikes in the fourth game to win the title with a 204-202 scoring final match. This was the program’s first Division I state championship title, ending the Trojans’ season with an overall record of 17-2.

The Troy High School girls bowling team was present along with Coach Rob Dever to receive the resolution during the Ohio House session.

State Representative Steve Huffman (R-Tipp City) today announced that a sales tax holiday will be held this weekend, an opportunity for parents to receive some tax relief during back-to-school shopping in preparation for the new school year which will also stimulate economic activity for Ohio’s retailers. This year’s sales tax holiday was established by the state operating budget, House Bill 49.
