04.11.14 - Rep. O'Brien Pushes Property Owner Protection Bill

 

On Friday, State Representative Sean J. O’Brien (D-Bazetta), along with Representative Mike Duffey (R-Worthington), introduced legislation that would provide relief to property owners facing mandatory sewer system tie-ins. Under the legislation, property owners who are forced to tie their septic systems into new, private sewer lines will be allowed to opt-out, so long as the resident’s system is maintained in accordance with health standards mandated by Ohio law.

 
 

11.05.13 - Reps. O'Brien, Hall Introduce Bill Promoting Alternative Fuels For Transportation

 

On Monday, State Reps. Sean J. O’Brien (D-Hubbard) and Dave Hall (R-Millersburg) introduced legislation that would provide tax incentives for entities that buy or convert vehicles to compressed natural gas (CNG), establish a sales tax reduction for those who purchase electric vehicles and create a five year phase in of a motor fuel tax on compressed natural gas that will match the current tax on gas and diesel.

Today, Rep. Sean J. O’Brien (D-Hubbard) applauded the state Controlling Board’s decision to approve Medicaid expansion in Ohio. The opportunity to expand Medicaid to 138% of the federal poverty level is a key part of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act (ACA).
