COLUMBUS - 

Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) has appointed Rep. Scott Ryan (R-Granville Twp.) to serve as vice chairman of the House Local Government Committee.


 


"I appreciate Speaker Rosenberger naming me Vice Chairman of the Local Government Committee,” Ryan said. “Local governments are extremely important as they are most often the touch points between our government and the citizens. I look forward to working together to continue the transition to increased efficiency and discipline in our government."


 


Ryan is beginning his first term in the House. He represents the 71st District, which includes portions of Licking County.

State Representative Scott Ryan (R-Granville Township) today announced that a sales tax holiday will be held this weekend, an opportunity for parents to receive some tax relief during back-to-school shopping in preparation for the new school year which will also stimulate economic activity for Ohio’s retailers. Ohio House Approves Legislation Supporting Community Improvement Projects

 

COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives today passed the capital budget bill, legislation that invests $2.62 billion statewide for community improvement projects and contains funding for needed improvements to public services and facilities across the state, including schools, roads and bridges, waterways and parks. The bill also increases investments in mental health and addiction services facilities.
