Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) has appointed State Representative Scott Ryan (R-Granville Twp.) to serve on four House standing committees, including as vice chair of the Local Government Committee.

He was also appointed to the following committees: Economic and Workforce Development; Ways and Means; and Public Utilities.

“These committees will be a gateway to issues that will have a direct impact upon the future of our state,” Ryan said. “I am extremely pleased to be asked to serve on each of them.”

Ryan has been the owner of a printing company for 25 years and has served as Licking County treasurer. Beginning his first term in the House, he represents the 71st District, which includes portions of Licking County.

COLUMBUS—The Ohio House of Representatives today passed the capital budget bill, legislation that invests $2.62 billion statewide for community improvement projects and contains funding for needed improvements to public services and facilities across the state, including schools, roads and bridges, waterways and parks. The bill also increases investments in mental health and addiction services facilities.
